Security Solution Architect

Location: Remote

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for delivering CloudWave’s CaaS program, hardware solutions, penetration testing, risk assessments, tabletop exercises, cybersecurity consulting, and other consulting services as required. The position will also play a key role in platform development and delivery, ensuring seamless implementation and customer handoffs. The ideal candidate will engage with clients, design tailored security solutions and contribute to the advancement of CloudWave’s cybersecurity services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advisory Services & Customer Engagement:

  • Lead CaaS implementation and customer handoffs, ensuring smooth transitions and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide cybersecurity consulting services, including risk assessments, penetration testing, and tabletop exercises to evaluate security postures and incident response readiness.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on security policies, industry best practices, and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with customers to assess security needs and recommend tailored solutions that align with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, etc.).

Platform Development & Solution Design:

  • Assist in developing and enhancing CloudWave’s security platform, ensuring it meets evolving industry needs.
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to implement scalable, secure, and compliant cybersecurity solutions.
  • Create technical architectures, solution proposals, and implement roadmaps that align with client needs.
  • Stay current on emerging threats and advancements in security technologies, incorporating them into solution designs and service offerings.

Security Assessments & Incident Response Support:

  • Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to evaluate security defenses.
  • Design and facilitate tabletop exercises to assess incident response effectiveness, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to strengthen cyber resilience strategies.

Pre-Sales Support & Customer Relations:

  • Support sales teams in understanding customer security requirements and delivering compelling presentations.
  • Lead technical discussions, address customer concerns, and provide timely responses to security-related inquiries.
  • Develop technical documentation and training materials for both internal teams and clients.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in research and development efforts to improve CloudWave’s security offerings.
  • Provide customer training and education on security best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below represent the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Four (4) years of college or technical education or equivalent industry experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, HCISPP, CEH) highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Security Consultant, or similar technical role, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare IT systems (EHRs, PACS, medical imaging, clinical systems, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of healthcare security frameworks and compliance regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption, IAM, SIEM, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess customer needs and design scalable solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Willingness to travel (30%) for customer engagements and on-site implementations.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

30% Onsite (customer implementation and handoff activities and advisory services).
